THE CULTURAL ALLIANCE RAISED CONTRIBUTIONS FROM BOTH CORPORATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS IN YORK COUNTY, PA TO SUPPORT ARTS ORGANIZATIONS AND ARTISTS; 61 ARTS ORGANIZATIONS AND 36 ARTISTS RECEIVED GRANTS TO BRING ART TO LIFE THROUGH THEIR PROJECTS AND PROGRAMS. PPA PARTNERS FOCUS ON MAKING ARTS PROGRAMS AVAILABLE TO EVERY COMMONWEALTH RESIDENT, WITH A FOCUS ON PREVIOUSLY UNDER-SERVED COMMUNITIES AND REGIONS IN PENNSYLVANIA. ALL PROJECTS MUST BE PUBLICIZED AND OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC.
AMOUNTS EXPENDED THROUGH THE ARTS IN EDUCATION PROGRAM RAISE THE AWARENESS OF THE ARTS IN THE REGION'S SCHOOLS. IN THE CURRENT YEAR, 52 RESIDENCIES WERE CONDUCTED IN VARIOUS SCHOOL DISTRICTS. APPROXIMATELY 7,400 STUDENTS WERE SERVED.
