MOTHERS' HOME IS A RESIDENTIAL SHELTER THAT PROVIDES A SAFE HAVEN FOR PREGNANT WOMEN IN A CRISIS. THE HOME HELPS THESE WOMEN PREPARE FOR THEIR FUTURE AND THE FUTURE OF THEIR CHILD. THEIR FOCUS IS ON PHYSICAL,EMOTIONAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL NEEDS AND STRIVES TO ASSIST MOTHERS REACH SELF SUFFICIENCY.

MOTHERS' HOME IS A SHELTER FOR HOMELESS PREGNANT WOMEN. SINCE 1991 WE HAVE PROVIDED A HOME FOR WOMEN TO PREPARE FOR THE BIRTH OF THEIR BABY IN A SAFE AND CARING ENVIRONMENT. AFTER THE BIRTH THE MOTHER AND NEWBORN ARE INVITED TO STAY AT MOTHERS' HOME FOR SEVERAL MONTHS WHILE THE MOTHER BONDS WITH HER CHILD, SEEKS FURTHER EDUCATION, PERMANENT HOUSING AND EMPLOYMENT.
OUR UNIQUE IN HOUSE EDUCATIONAL AND COUNSELING PROGRAM GIVES HOPE THROUGH EMPOWERMENT. WE PROVIDE SUPPORT SERVICES IN CHILDBIRTH EDUCATION, PARENTING SKILLS, PRENATAL/POSTNATAL CARE, NUTRITION PROGRAMS, PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT, PREGNANCY COUNSELING AND JOB SKILLS FOR OUR WOMEN TO BECOME INDEPENDENT AND SELF SUFFICIENT. WE ALSO HAVE AN EXTENSIVE NETWORK WITH OTHER COMMUNITY SUPPORT AGENCIES.
THE LOWER LEVEL OF MOTHERS' HOME SERVES AS AN OUTREACH PROGRAM, PROVIDING BABY/TODDLER CLOTHING, SUPPLIES, BABY FURNISHINGS AND MATERNITY CLOTHING. THE RESOURCE IS AVAILABE NOT ONLY TO OUR RESIDENTS BUT ALSO TO NEEDY PREGNANT WOMEN AND LOCAL FAMILIES IN NEED. WE ALSO SHARE OUR SUPPLIES WITH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS GIVING TO THE NEEDY. INDIVIDUAL AND GROUPS DONATE NEW AND USED ITEMS TO OUR SHARING SPACE. ALL ITEMS AS WELL AS SERVICES ARE GIVEN FREELY AND WITHOUT CHARGE. THE SHARING SPACE SERVES APPROXIMATELY 150 FAMILIES AND OTHER SOCIAL SERVICE AGENCIES.
