THE GLEN ROCK HOSE AND LADDER COMPANY IS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT RUNS SOLELY ON VOLUNTEER PERSONNEL TO PROVIDE FIRE, RESCUE, FIRST AID AND OTHER EMERGENCY RESPONSES TO MORE THAN 3,500 HOUSEHOLDS WHO RESIDE IN GLEN ROCK BOROUGH AND PARTS OF CODORUS, SHREWSBURY, AND SPRINGFIELD TOWNSHIPS. IN 2021, VOLUNTEERS ANSWERED 401 CALLS FOR SERVICE. IN ADDITION TO EMERGENCY RESPONSES, MEMBERS PROMOTE FIRE PREVENTION TO AREA PRE-SCHOOLS AND TWO ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS WITHIN OUR RESPONSE AREA, PROVIDE TRAFFIC CONTROL AT PUBLIC EVENTS, AND HAVE COUNTLESS VOLUNTEER HOURS WORKING FUNDRAISING EVENTS.
