SUMMER UNIVERSITY & COLLEGE INSTITUTES AND PROGRAMS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS. THESE PROGRAMS AND INSTITUTES WERE HELD ON A VARIETY OF COLLEGE CAMPUSES AND WERE SUCCESSFUL IN INTRODUCING THE STUDENTS TO COMPUTER SCIENCE, ENGINEERING AND BUSINESS. EACH PROGRAM OR INSTITUTE WAS 2 OR 3 WEEKS LONG AND PROVIDED A COMPREHENSIVE EXPOSURE, IN A PARTICULAR DISCIPLINE, TO A DIVERSE GROUP OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO OTHERWISE MAY NEVER HAVE HAD SUCH AN OPPORTUNITY BEFORE GRADUATING FROM HIGH SCHOOL.
