SCHOLARSHIPS. THE RECIPENTS ARE TO BE STUDENTS AT COOK COLLEGE/RUTGERS UNIVERSITY OR ANOTHER INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION RELATED TO THE TURF PROGRAM. THESE STUDENTS SHOULD HAVE COMPLETED ONE YEAR OR MORE TOWARD HIS/HER EDUCATION. THE STUDENT MUST HAVE A SINCERE COMMITMENT TO TURFGRASS AS A CAREER. WORK EXPERIENCE ON A SITE IN GROWING TURF OR WORK ON TURF RESEARCH IS AN IMPORTANT QUALIFICATION ALONG WITH THE SCHOLASTIC RECORD. THERE ARE NO RESTRICTIONS OR LIMITATIONS IN THE SELECTION PROCEDURES BASED UPON RACE OR THE EMPLOYMENT STATUS OF THE PROSPECTIVE RECEIPIENT OR ANY RELATIVE OF THE PROSPECTIVE RECIPIENT. THESE STUDENTS WILL BE SELECTED BY A COMMITTEE APPOINTED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES BASED UPON THE RECOMMENDATIONS RECEIVED FROM THE STUDENT ADVISORS AT COOK COLLEGE/RUTGERS UNIVERSITY.
