THE JCETP PROVIDES RESOURCES TO ADULT, YOUTH AND DISPLACED WORKERS TO OBTAIN JOB TRAINING TO PROVIDE THE NECESSARY SKILLS TO OBTAIN EMPLOYMENT THROUGH INDIVIDUAL CONTRACTS FOR TRAINING UNDER THE WORKFORCE INNOVATION OPPORTUNITY ACT (WIOA) AND TEMPORARY ASSISTANCE FOR NEEDY FAMILIES (TANF) FOR A COMBINED TOTAL PROGRAM EXPENSE OF $1,939,596.THE JCETP ALSO OPERATES A PRISONER RE-ENTRY PROGRAM, 2ND CHANCE PROGRAM WITH THE CITY OF JERSEY CITY, EDC, DCA, CSBG, CDBG, AND THE NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF LABOR PEPP GRANT; A LITERACY PROGRAM TO ASSIST INDIVIDUALS TO OBTAIN BASIS SKILLS IN ORDER TO OBTAIN A GENERAL EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (GED) CERTIFICATE; AND A DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION-LADDERS OF OPPORTUNITY GRANT PROVIDES TRAINING TO INDIVIDUALS FOR OPPORTUNITIES WITH THE TRANSPORTATION INDUSTRY, FOR A COMBINED TOTAL PROGRAM EXPENSE AMOUNT OF $421,497.ADDITIONAL PROGRAM SERVICES ARE: COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER PROGRAM - PROGRAM UTILIZES TAILORED SUPERVISION TO THE NEEDS OF SUPERVISED OFFENDERS AS AN ALTERNATIVE TO FURTHER INCARCERATION AS WELL AS TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE AS IT RELATED TO THE NEED OF EDUCATIONAL, EMPLOYMENT, LIFE SKILLS, SUBSTANCE ABUSE ASSESSMENT, EDUCATION AND TREATMENT AND RELATED PROGRAMMING - $82,035.SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM - THE PROGRAM OFFERS NUTRITION ASSISTANCE TO ELIGIBLE, LOW INCOME INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES AND PROVIDES ECONOMIC BENEFITS TO COMMUNITIES - $159,689.
