IT WAS CREATED TO OPERATE FOR THE BENEFIT OF AND CARRY OUT THE PUBLIC PURPOSES OF THE CITY, AND FOR SUCH EXCLUSIVELY PUBLIC PURPOSES OF THE DEVELOPMENT, IMPROVEMENT AND OPERATION OF PUBLIC AMENITIES, PUBLIC SPACES AND COORDINATED PRIVATE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES AT THE VINCE WHIBBS SR. COMMUNITY MARITIME PARK.

THE MARITIME PARK MULTI-USE FACILITY HAS PROVIDED THE COMMUNITY WITH MANY OPPORTUNITIES AND AMENITIES AND HAS GIVEN ACCESS TO A GREAT ENTERTAINMENT EXPERIENCE. THE PARK'S STADIUM IS A QUALITY PLACE FOR BASEBALL AND OTHER EVENTS FOR THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY. IN EACH OF THE SIX SEASONS THAT THE PENSACOLA BLUE WAHOOS HAVE PLAYED BASEBALL GAMES AT THE STADIUM, ATTENDANCE HAS EXCEEDED 300,000 FANS FOR A TOTAL ATTENDANCE EXCEEDING 1,800,000 DURING THE SIX YEAR PERIOD.
