CASE EVALUATION & PLACEMENT & ADMINISTRATION -- EVALUATE CASES OF PRO SE APPELLANTS BEFORE THE U.S. COURT OF APPEALS FOR VETERANS CLAIMS AND POTENTIAL DISCHARGE UPGRADE CASES FOR SUBMISSION TO RESPECTIVE DISCHARGE REVIEW AND CORRECTION OF RECORDS BOARDS FOR MERIT AND PLACE CASES WITH PROGRAM-TRAINED, VOLUNTEER ATTORNEYS. DURING THE YEAR, OVER 3,000 INDIVIDUALS WERE PROVIDED INFORMATION AND ASSISTANCE RELATED TO THIS COMPONENT. PROGRAM MATERIALS SUCH AS THE "YOUR APPEAL FOR VETERANS BENEFITS" PAMPHLET, ANNUAL REPORTS, AND OTHER ITEMS WERE PRODUCED AND DISTRIBUTED BY THIS COMPONENT OF THE PROGRAM.
