THE CENTER SERVES THE IMMEDIATE NEIGHBORHOOD AND THE GREATER ITHACA AREA BY PROVIDING MULTICULTURAL, EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS FOCUSED ON SOCIAL AND INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT.

TEEN PROGRAMS - A VARIETY OF PROGRAMS ARE OFFERED TO TEENS INCLUDING SUPERVISED ATTENDENCE AT ATHLETIC EVENTS, PLAYS, CONCERTS, AND TRIPS TO NYC, SYRACUSE AND OTHER URBAN AREAS. THERE ARE ALSO MONTHLY LATE NIGHT ACTIVITIES FOR TEENS.
YOUTH PROGRAMS - THESE INCLUDE SUPPORT OF A TRACK TEAM, SUPPORT FOR EXERCISE AND ACTIVITIES FOR PRETEENS AND AN AFTER SCHOOL AND SUMMER DAY CAMP PROGRAM SERVING OVER 100 CHILDREN. THE 50 SERVED DINNER PROGRAM PROVIDES FOOD FOR 100+ PARTICIPANTS MONDAY - FRIDAY.
ADULT PROGRAM- HELP SENIORS WITH GROCERY SHOPPING AS HIS GROUP WERE ONE OF THE TOP AT-RISKS GROUPS FOR HAVING DETRIMENTAL EFFECTS IF CAUGHT COVID. THERE WAS ALSO VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING OFFERED.
OTHER PROGRAMS - THIS CATEGORY REPRESENTS A VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES GIAC SUPPORTS AS A COMMUNITY CENTER. THIS INCLUDES HOSTING A LARGE NEMBER OF EVENTS AND SPONSORING COMMUNITY EVENTS SUCH AS MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY CELEBRATION, ETC.
