GOLES HEALTHY AGING PROGRAM ADDRESSES THE NEEDS OF ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED RESIDENTS AGE 50 AND OVER BY COMBINING SUPPORTIVE SERVICES, EDUCATIONAL INFO SESSIONS, PREVENTATIVE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING PROGRAMMING, COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, AND RESEARCH TO PROMOTE HEALTHIER AGING.
HOUSING ADVOCACY AND ORGANIZING: GOLES PROVIDES TENANT RIGHTS AND EVICTION PREVENTION COUNSELING TO INCOME ELIGIBLE TENANTS AT LARGE WHO LIVE ON THE LOWER EAST SIDE. GOLES WORKS WITH TENANTS IN ORGANIZING AND STRENGTHENING TENANT ASSOCIATIONS TO OBTAIN QUALITY REPAIRS, STOP LANDLORD HARASSMENT, AND PROTECT LOW-INCOME TENANTS FROM BEING DISPLACED.
WORKFORCE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: GOLES OFFERS JOB READINESS ASSISTANCE, JOB SKILLS TRAINING, AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES THAT REACH LOWER EAST SIDE UNEMPLOYED AND UNDEREMPLOYED COMMUNITY MEMBERS.
