RESEARCH GRANTS & RESEARCH PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT: DURING 2021, RESEARCH TO PREVENT BLINDNESS, INC. (RPB) MADE 15 GRANTS TO UNIVERSITY MEDICAL SCHOOLS TO AID IN THE OPHTHALMOLOGICAL RESEARCH OF BLINDING EYE DISEASE. IN ADDITION, DURING 2021, RPB MADE A $1,500,000 GRANT TO RESEARCH TO PREVENT BLINDNESS ENDOWMENT FUND, INC. (RPBEF) WHICH OPERATES AS A SUPPORT ORGANIZATION OF RPB.
PUBLIC & PROFESSIONAL INFORMATION: RPB DISSEMINATES THE LATE OPHTHALMOLOGICAL RESEARCH FINDINGS TO SCIENTISTS, PHYSICIANS PATIENTS BY PUBLISHING REPORTS, BROCHURES, AND RESPONSE TO INQUIRIES.
