OPERATION FUEL'S YEAR-ROUND PROGRAM PROVIDED ENERGY ASSISTANCE TO 5,520 LOW- AND MODERATE-INCOME CONNECTICUT HOUSEHOLDS WHO ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR OR WHO HAVE EXHAUSTED THEIR GOVERNMENT BENEFITS.
OPERATION FUEL RECEIVED A GRANT OF $2.1 MILLION FROM THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT TO RUN AN EMERGENCY HOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM DURING FY22. GRANTS OF UP TO $700 WERE PROVIDED TO 3,117 ELIGIBLE CONNECTICUT HOUSEHOLDS AND PAID DIRECTLY TO FUEL OR UTILITY VENDORS. $200,000 OF THE GRANT WAS USED TO PROVIDE PROGRAM AND CASE MANAGEMENT SUPPORT BY OPERATION FUEL'S CENTRAL OFFICE AND ITS NETWORK OF 64 FUEL BANKS AROUND THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT.
