TO STRENGTHEN FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES THROUGH AFFORDABLE HOME OWNERSHIP. WE ACCOMPLISH THIS THROUGH TWO AVENUES - BUILDING NEW AFFORDABLE HOMES AND PERFORMING CRITICAL REPAIRS ON OWNER OCCUPIED HOMES IN ORDER TO ALLOW FAMILIES TO CONTINUE TO LIVE IN THEIR CURRENT HOMES.

WITH A MISSION TO STRENGTHEN FAMILIES AND COMMUNITIES THROUGH AFFORDABLE HOME OWNERSHIP, THE ORGANIZATION HAS BROADENED ITS EFFORTS TO IMPACT AS MANY LOWER INCOME FAMILIES AS POSSIBLE. IN THE GREATER LOWELL AREA WE CONTINUE TO BUILD THE CAPACITY OF THE ORGANIZATION EITHER THROUGH BUILDING NEW HOMES OR RENOVATING OWNER OCCUPIED HOMES, STARTING WITH VETERANS AND MILITARY FAMILIES AND THEN BRANCHING OUT TO ALL POTENTIAL FAMILIES. THE ORGANIZATION IS CONCENTRATING ITS EFFORTS IN SPECIFIC AREAS IN ORDER TO MAKE THE GREATEST IMPACT, NAMELY, THE NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION INITIATIVE (NRI), LAUNCHING AND SUSTAINING A CRITICAL REPAIR PROGRAM.
THE RESTORE IS A RETAIL OUTLET OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. ALL FUNDS RAISED BY THE RESTORE PROVIDE DIRECT SUPPORT TO HABITAT FOR HUMANITY'S MISSION OF BUILDING STRENGTH, STABILITY AND SELF-RELIANCE THROUGH SHELTER IN OUR COMMUNITY. THE RESTORE ACCEPTS DROP OFFS OR WILL SCHEDULE FREE PICK UPS FOR NEW AND GENTLY USED HOME IMPROVEMENT MATERIALS, HOME GOODS, FURNITURE, LIGHTING, FLOORING AND APPLIANCES. THESE ITEMS ARE THEN SOLD AT 50-70% OFF RETAIL PRICES TO PEOPLE OF ALL INCOME LEVELS, THEREFORE GENERATING FUNDS TO BUILD MORE AFFORDABLE HOMES IN THE GREATER LOWELL AREA. THE RESTORE IS A GREEN INITIATIVE, KEEPING USEABLE BUILDING MATERIALS, HOME IMPROVEMENT PRODUCTS, FURNITURE, APPLIANCES AND HOUSEHOLD ITEMS OUT OF LANDFILLS TO THE TUNE OF ABOUT 350 TONS A YEAR, THEREBY SAVING SPACE AND MONEY.
