PROMOTING HEALTHY LIVING - TO IMPROVE THE NATION'S HEALTH AND WELL-BEING THE ORGANIZATION OFFERS ITS MEMBERS IN DIFFERENT STAGES OF LIFE THE OPPORTUNITY TO IMPROVE THEIR LEVELS OF PHYSICAL EMOTIONAL SOCIAL AND SPIRITUAL WELL BEING. THE ORGANIZATIONS APPROACH IS BASED ON CONCERN FOR THE WELLNESS OF THE TOTAL PERSON. YMCA PROGRAMS ENCOURAGE POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR IN THE AREAS OF INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP FITNESS CLASSES, DANCE PROGRAMS, SPORTS LEAGUES AND SPECIAL EVENTS TO HELP IMPROVE THE WELL BEING OF OUR COMMUNITY. THESE PROGRAMS INCLUDE PRESCHOOL CHILDCARE, SCHOOL AGE CHILDCARE, AND A MIDDLE SCHOOL CENTER WHICH IN ADDITION TO CARE OFFER SPORTS PROGRAMS, TEEN PROGRAMS, HEALTH AND SAFETY PROGRAMS, AND SUMMER CAMPS TO NURTURE THE POTENTIAL OF EVERY CHILD AND TEEN. THE PROGRAMS FOCUS ON FAMILY ACTIVITIES, CHILD CARE, CHILD EDUCATION, AND ENCOURAGING CLOSE FAMILY TIES.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY - GIVING BACK AND PROVIDING SUPPORT TO OUR NEIGHBORS. THE ORGANIZATION WORKS WITH THE SCHOOL SYSTEM AND LOCAL FOOD PANTRY. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY REGARDLESS OF THEIR ABILITY TO PAY.
