THE KINGWOOD VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT PROTECTS THE CITY OF KINGWOOD, WHICH IS ABOUT 35 SQUARE MILES WITH A POPULATION OF ABOUT 3,200. THEY ALSO PROTECT THE OUTLYING AREAS OF MANOWN, PRESTON, HOWESVILLE, AND CADDELL MOUNTAIN. THIS MAKES THE TOTAL AREA OF COVERAGE ABOUT 54 SQUARE MILES WITH A POPULATION OF 5,200. THE MAJORITY OF THE AREA IS RURAL AND IN SOME CASES WITHOUT FIRE HYDRANTS. IN OUR AREA WE PROTECT MATTHEWS BRONZE, PRESTON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, APPALACHIAN WOOD PELLETS, PRESTON HIGH SCHOOL AND CAMP DAWSON. THE THREE MAJOR ROUTES THROUGH OUR AREA ARE RT. 7, RT. 26, AND RT.72. THE PRESTON COUNTY HIRT TEAM (HAZARDS INCIDENT RESPONSE TEAM), COMPANY 30 MEETS AND HOUSES EQUIPMENT AT KINGWOOD VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT.

RAISE, RECEIVE,AND APPLY FUNDS FOR FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS, EQUIPMENT, TECHNOLOGY, AND EXPANSION OF SERVICES FOR PRESTON MEMORIAL HOSPITAL.

The goal of this organization is to work to relieve poverty in developing countries by providing funds, technical assistance and supplies which improve the health, education, welfare, social well-being and self-reliance of individuals and families. Also included are organizations that provide relief services in response to a major disaster or large-scale emergency that occurs abroad.

The goal of this organization is to provide preventive, diagnostic and treatment services for animals that have illnesses, injuries or emotional problems; and which put to sleep animals that are aged or in severe pain because of untreatable health problems.
