LAKE CHAMPLAIN COMMUNITY SAILING CENTER ENCOURAGES AND CELEBRATES RESPONSIBLE USE AND LONG-TERM STEWARDSHIP OF LAKE CHAMPLAIN BY FOSTERING EDUCATIONAL AND RECREATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS.

The goal of this organization is to preserve and protect endangered land resources from indiscriminate development, destruction or decay and which manage the utilization of renewable and nonrenewable resources to ensure ongoing availability. Included are conservation of the nations forests, rangeland, vegetation, deserts, wild and scenic rivers and other wilderness areas and open land spaces; and reestablishment of areas that have been devastated by destructive activities such as strip mining or other destructive activities.

MISSION:

TO HELP FURTHER THE COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OBJECTIVES OF THE CITY OF BURLINGTON. THE ORGANIZATION WORKS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH CITY DEPARTMENTS TO SECURE FINANCING FOR CITY SPONSORED PROJECTS, AND OFTEN HOLDS TITLE TO PROPERTY FOR REDEVELOPMENT EFFORTS.

VCET'S PURPOSE IS TO ACCELERATE INNOVATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP ACROSS VERMONT. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED BY PROVIDING EXPERT MENTORING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, THE OPERATION OF COWORKING/INCUBATION FACILITIES AND THE OPERATION OF EARLY STAGE SEED CAPITAL VENTURE FUNDS.

THE ORGANIZATION WAS FORMED AS AN ONSHORE CAPTIVE INSURANCE COMPANY TO INSURE THE RISKS OF THE CARMELITE SYSTEM.

The goal of this organization is to engage in television productions and broadcast, including producers of public television, cable television, community access television, broadcasting in schools, and interactive television.
