These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

The goal of this organization is to support and fund-raise for single institutions, multihospital health care systems, and similar diversified health systems comprised of closely-affiliated organizations within the Health Care major group area.

NAZARETH ACADEMY CONSISTS OF A PRECHOOL AND ELEMENTARY SCHOOL THAT STRIVES TO BUILD A LOVING CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY IN AN ENVIRONMENT THAT SUPPORTS OPTIMUM DEVELOPMENT OF EACH INDIVIDUAL PHYSICALLY, SOCIALLY, CULTURALLY AND SPIRITUALLY.

OUR MISSION AT THE VINE SCHOOL IS TO CREATE A CUSTOMIZED LEARNING ENVIRONMENT AND SPECIALIZED TEACHING METHODS TO SERVE CHILDREN AGES TWO THROUGH EIGHTEEN AFFECTED BY AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS AND RELATED COMMUNICATIION DISORDERS.

TO BENEFIT LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS, FIRE FIGHTERS AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL PERSONNEL, AND THEIR SPOUSES AND DEPENDENTS, WHO HAVE BECOME DISABLED OR HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE LINE OF DUTY WHILE STATIONED IN VICTORIA COUNTY, TEXAS. THE BOARD MAY ALSO CHOOSE TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT FOR USE BY LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS, FIRE FIGHTERS AND EMERGENCY PERSONNEL.

The goal of this organization is the fund-raising entity for a single institution within the Religion-Related major group area.

PROVIDE NUTRITION, TRANSPORTATION, AND OTHER SERVICES THAT SUPPORT INDEPENDENT LIVING FOR SENIORS, INCLUDING THE OPERATION OF A SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER, MEALS ON WHEELS, AND TRANSPORTATION SERVICES WITHIN VICTORIA AND THE SURROUNDING COUNTIES.

The goal of this organization are the organizations like chambers of commerce, business leagues and commercial trade associations whose members are businessmen and women and merchants who have affiliated for the purpose of promoting the general commercial interests of the community or the interests of their own trade. [Many of these are found in section 501(c)(6) business leagues; and 501(c)(6) chambers of commerce.]

The goal of this organization are the nongovernmental, nonprofit organizations with funds (usually from a single source, such as an individual, family or corporation) and programs managed by its own trustees or directors, established to maintain or aid social, educational, religious or other charitable activities serving the common welfare, primarily through grantmaking.

AS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION, ITS FOCUS IS ON ASSISTING RURAL COMMUNITIES IN TEXAS. THE ORGANIZATION WORKS THROUGH A NETWORK OF 13 INDIVIDUAL RESOURCE CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT COUNCILS ACROSS TEXAS TO IMPLEMENT ENVIRONMENTAL AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS IN SMALL TOWNS AND RURAL AREAS. LEADERSHIP TRAINING, GRANT RESEARCH, AND DIRCT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IS PROVIDED THROUGH VARIOUS LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL PARTNERSHIPS TO IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR RURAL CITIZENS AND THE ENVIRONMENT EVERYONE DEPENDS ON.

The goal of this organization is to maintain cemeteries, or provide burial or funeral services for charitable purposes.

MISSION:

VCAM DISTRIBUTES EMERGENCY FOOD SUPPLIES TO NEEDY FAMILIES THROUGHOUT VICTORIA COUNTY. SERVICES ALSO INCLUDE LIMITED UTILITY, TRANSPORTATION, PRESCRIPTION AND BASIC NEED ASSISTANCE SERVICES TO ELIGIBLE INDIVIDUALS.
