EAST RIO HONDO WATER SUPPLY CORPORATION WAS INCORPORATED ON MAY 17, 1972 TO DEVELOP A WATER DISTRIBUTION AND TREATMENT FACILITY TO SERVE NORTHERN CAMERON COUNTY. A GEOGRAPHICALLY LIMITED WASTEWATER SYSTEM HAS ALSO BEEN DEVELOPED TO PROVIDE SEWER SERVICE TO SEVERAL AREAS WITHIN THE CORPORATION'S SERVICE AREA. THE WASTEWATER SYSTEM WAS FUNDED SUBSTANTIALLY BY USDA RURAL DEVELOPMENT GRANTS.

MISSION:

OPERATE THE HEAD START PROGRAM AND CHILD CARE FOOD PROGRAM IN CAMERON AND WILLACY COUNTIES AND TO PROVIDE SOCIAL, HEALTH, AND NUTRITIONAL SERVICES TO ENROLLED CHILDREN AND FAMILIES.

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people to satisfy their inner needs and enhance their spiritual growth through organized worship or through other devotional activities under the auspices of one of the group of religious faiths that is based on the teachings of Jesus Christ.
