LISTEN TO THE LAMAR INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY'S PLANS AND PROVIDE THEM WITH SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO IMPROVE THE TRAINING THEY PROVIDE IN THIS REGION

UNITED WAY WORKS TO BRING ABOUT LASTING CHANGE IN THE COMMUNITY BY PARTNERING WITH AGENCIES WHOSE PROGRAMS FOCUS ON THE AREAS OF EDUCATION, INCOME, AND HEALTH AS AN AVENUE TO

Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. AND OF SUCH OTHER ORGANIZATIONS AS ARE DESIGNATED BY THE FOUNDATION'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND THAT QUALITY AS EXEMPT ORGANIZATIONS UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE. --RECEIVING FUNDS FOR ENDOWMENT PURPOSES AND EITHER INVESTING THE FUNDS OR TRANSFERRING THE FUNDS TO AN APPROPRIATE INVESTMENT AGENCY AS DESIGNATED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE FOUNDATION. --ENDEAVORING TO SEE THAT ALL FUNDS RECEIVED ARE MANAGED SO THAT MAXIMUM BENEFIT WILL BE DERIVED FROM THE DONOR'S GENEROSITY.
