THUNDER VALLEY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION'S PURPOSE IS TO BUILD UP TRIBAL COMMUNITIES AND PROTECT TRIBAL LANDS IN A SUBSTANTIAL WAY THAT WILL INSURE A POSITIVE LEGACY FOR EMPOWERING YOUTH AND FAMILIES THROUGH CULTURAL IDENTITY AND SOCIAL ACTION.

TO DEVELOP INDIGENOUS AGRICULTURE AND FOOD SYSTEMS DESIGNED TO REGENERATE EQUITABLE HEALTH COMMUNITIES, ECONOMIES, AND OUR ENVIRONMENT.

BY 2020, THE PINE RIDGE GIRLS' SCHOOL AIMS TO BE RECOGNIZED AS A TOP INDEPENDENT 6-12 SECONDARY SCHOOL AND SET A NEW NATIONAL STANDARD BY SENDING 100% OF OUR FIRST GRADUATING CLASS OF OGLALA LAKOTA GIRLS OFF TO COLLEGE. OUR GOAL IS TO CREATE A MODEL OF NATIVE AMERICAN EDUCATION IN THE PINE RIDGE GIRLS' SCHOOL--THAT NOT ONLY BENEFITS THE OGLALA LAKOTA, BUT ALSO STANDS AS A BEACON FOR NATIVE COMMUNITIES ACROSS THE COUNTRY TO FOLLOW.

MISSION:

CHANKU WASTE RANCH IS IN PLACE WITH THE PURPOSE OF MINISTERING TO INDIVIDUALS AND INDIGENOUS PEOPLE GROUPS THROUGH ORGANIZING COMMUNITY EVENTS, PROVIDING NECESSITIES, TEACHING TRADE AND LIFE SKILLS, AND MEETING SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL NEEDS. IN SHORT, CHANKU WASTE RANCH IS ON MISSION TO GIVE EVERYONE IN OUR COMMUNITY ACCESS TO A RESTORED LIFE.

The goal of this organization is to promote artistic expression within a particular ethnic community; work for the preservation and promotion of the traditions, values and lifestyles of different cultural groups; organize activities and events which promote cultural exchange locally or nationally; and encourage understanding and respect for different cultural heritages among the youthful members of the group as well as the mainstream population.

The goal of this organization are the volunteer and other organizations that provide emergency rescue operations and/or lifesaving activities for people who are stranded, lost, accident victims, or exposed to other life-threatening dangers. Included may be organizations that participate in air rescue, mountain rescue, sea rescue, ski rescue, traffic accident rescue and urban search and rescue operations.

The goal of this organization is to focus on the development and improvement of food resources or food procurement through information and technical assistance for agricultural establishments and individuals in rural or urban settings.
