Includes organizations that partner parents, families, schools, business and/or community leaders to broker resources for the benefit of local schools.

THE EXTRA MILE CLUB OF THE LOWCOUNTRY HAS AS ITS PRIMARY FOCUS TO OFFER MULTIPLE YOUTH MENTORING PROGRAMS TO THE YOUTH RESIDENTS OF BEAUFORT AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES TO INCLUDE STRENGTH, FOOTBALL, CHEERLEADING AND SKILLS BUILDING. THESE PROGRAMS ARE OFFERED THROUGH CAMPS THAT TRAVEL FOR COMPETITION AGAINST OTHER YOUTH GROUPS TO BUILD COMRADERY AND TEAM SPIRIT.

TO PROVIDE RELIEF FROM FINANCIAL HARDSHIPS THAT MAY OCCUR AMONG THE ELIGIBLE BENEFICIARIES AS A RESULT OF NATURAL DISASTERS OR OTHER EMERGENCIES THROUGH ASSISTANCE IN THE FORM OF FUNDS, SERVICES, OR GOODS TO ENSURE THAT VICTIMS HAVE THE BASIC NECESSITIES, SUCH AS FOOD, CLOTHING, HOUSING, TRANSPORTATION, AND MEDICAL ASSISTANCE.

HELP SENIOR CITIZENS MAINTAIN QUALITY OF LIFE BY PROVIDING HOME-DELIVERED MEALS, TRANSPORTATION AND GROUP DINING WHERE SENIOR SERVICES OF BEAUFORT COUNTY ALSO PROVIDES SESSIONS RELATING TO HEALTH, NUTRITION AND OTHER PERTINENT TOPICS.

Thrift shops accept direct donations from the public of new and reusable goods.

THE BDC IS A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EFFORT BY THE CITY OF BEAUFORT TO ATTRACT, NURTURE, AND PROMOTE TECH AND TECH-RELATED COMPANIES. THE CORRIDOR TEAM, COMPRISED OF RELEVANT PARTICIPANTS IN THE PRIVATE AND PUBLIC SECTOR, IS POSITIONED TO SERVE THE BUSINESS COMMUNITY AS A PORTAL TO GOVERNMENT, INFRASTRUCTURE, REAL ESTATE, PROFESSIONAL RESOURCES, CAPITAL AND EDUCATION. THE TEAM'S OVERRIDING GOAL IS TO OFFER TANGIBLE RESOURCES TO TECH AND TECH-RELATED COMPANIES.

The goal of this organization is to provide preventive, diagnostic and inpatient, outpatient and residential treatment services as well as transitional support for people who have a physical and/or psychological dependency on alcohol and/or drugs.
