THE SOMERSET COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IS A NON-PROFIT CORPORATION DEDICATED TO PROMOTING THE SOMERSET COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA REGION AS A SUPERIOR LOCALE IN WHICH TO LIVE, WORK, VACATION AND CONDUCT BUSINESS.

MISSION:

THE SYSTEM WAS FORMED TO COORDINATE THE EFFORTS OF THREE PUBLIC LIBRARIES FOR COLLECTIONS AND REFERENCE MATERIALS AND PROVIDE LIBRARY SERVICES FOR ALL THREE LIBRARIES IN A COOPERATIVE FASHION.

The goal of this organization are the membership organizations that are engaged in promoting the interests of the veterans or active or retired military personnel who are their members.

The goal of this organization is to provide informal arts educational programming and/or instruction but do not grant diplomas or degrees; or which offer services regarding the arts to educational institutions or to public entities involved in education.

The goal of this organization is to provide or coordinate free or low-cost transportation services for older adults, people with disabilities, people with medical conditions, people who are indigent, students and other eligible individuals.

The goal of this organization are the volunteer and other organizations that provide emergency rescue operations and/or lifesaving activities for people who are stranded, lost, accident victims, or exposed to other life-threatening dangers. Included may be organizations that participate in air rescue, mountain rescue, sea rescue, ski rescue, traffic accident rescue and urban search and rescue operations.

The goal of this organization is to raise and distribute funds for multiple organizations within the Philanthropy, Voluntarism, and Grantmaking Foundations major group area.

Also included are social clubs that provide opportunities for people to meet and socialize with their peers at dances, parties, picnics, barbecues and other companionable events; and special interest clubs which enable people to share hobbies or other interests with individuals with those same interests.

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people to learn and become competitive in football. Coaching, access to a football field, football equipment, uniforms, and referees for competitions are generally included.

The goal of this organization is to provide technical assistance training and material resources to support the capacity-building efforts of nations outside the U. S. with a focus on agricultural and rural development, health, education, social welfare, small business development and industrial growth.
