HELPING ADULTS, 50 AND BETTER, LIVE HEALTHY, ACTIVE, AND INDEPENDENT LIFESTYLES

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to preserve and protect endangered land resources from indiscriminate development, destruction or decay and which manage the utilization of renewable and nonrenewable resources to ensure ongoing availability. Included are conservation of the nations forests, rangeland, vegetation, deserts, wild and scenic rivers and other wilderness areas and open land spaces; and reestablishment of areas that have been devastated by destructive activities such as strip mining or other destructive activities.

MISSION:

OUR MISSION IS TO IMPROVE PEOPLE'S LIVES BY MOBILIZING THE CARING POWER AND RESOURCES OF OUR COMMUNITY; TO PROVIDE LOCAL NON-PROFIT AGENCIES WITH NEEDED FINANCIAL, PROFESSIONAL, AND STRATEGIC SUPPORT; AND TO ENSURE THAT CONTRIBUTIONS FUND PROGRAMS THAT EFFECTIVELY MOVE PEOPLE FROM CRISIS TO INDEPENDENCE. WE ACCOMPLISH THIS BY ALLOCATING FUNDS RAISED TO PROGRAMS REVIEWED AND SELECTED BY VOLUNTEER PANELS FOR THEIR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE AND MEASURABLE RESULTS. OTHER SERVICE PROGRAMS ARE IDENTIFYING UNMET NEEDS AND CREATING PILOT PROGRAMS TO ADDRESS THOSE NEEDS, PROVIDING INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SERVICES FOR PEOPLE IN NEED, MENTORING NONPROFIT AGENCIES, AND COORDINATING VOLUNTEER ACTIVITIES. WE DO ALL THIS WHILE MAINTAINING THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF EXCELLENCE IN ETHICS AND INTEGRITY TO ENSURE SUCCESS.

THE KENNETT EDUCATION FOUNDATION HAS PARTNERED WITH THE KENNETT CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT TO ENHANCE KINDERGARTEN THROUGH TWELFTH GRADE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCEIN THE KENNETT CONSOLIDATED SCHOOL DISTRICT; PROVIDE SUPPORT FORCONTINUING HIGHER EDUCATION THROUGH SCHOLARSHIPS AND PROGRAMS; AND TOPROMOTE AND REWARD EXCELLENCE, CREATIVITY AND IMAGINATION FOR TEACHERS, ENCOURAGE INNOVATIVE IDEAS, INVEST IN PROGRAMS THAT IMPROVE ACADEMIC PROGRESS, PROMOTE FAMILY INVOLVEMENT AND RECOGNIZE THE OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS OF EDUCATORS.

TO RESPOND TO THE PHYSICAL, SOCIAL AND SPIRITUAL NEEDS OF THE HISPANIC COMMUNITY WITH A FOCUS ON SPANISH SPEAKING HIGH RISK PREGNANT WOMEN AND SICK OR DISABLED BABIES AND CHILDREN. OUR GOAL IS TO HELP THEM FIND APPROPRIATE HEALTH CARE TO MEET THE PHYSICAL NEEDS AND TO MINISTER TO THEIR SPIRITUAL NEEDS.

TO RESTORE HOPE AND DIGNITY TO QUALIFIED LOW-INCOME HOMEOWNERS BY REPAIRING THEIR HOMES AT NO COST TO THEM. OUR VISION IS FOR ALL PEOPLE IN OUR COMMUNITIES TO HAVE A WARM, SAFE, DRY, AND HEALTHY HOME.

FAMILY PROMISE OF SOUTHERN CHESTER COUNTY (FPSCC) WAS CREATED TO ADDRESS THE GROWING PROBLEM OF HOMELESSNESS IN FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN IN THE COMMUNITIES DEFINED BY THE FOUR SOUTHER CHESTER COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICTS KENNETT, AVON GROVE, OXFORD, AND UNIONVILLE-CHADDS FORD.

PROVIDES INSTRUCTION TO YOUTH WITHIN THE COMMUNITY FOR ICE HOCKEY AND TEAM PARTICIPATION.

YOUNGMOMS WAS ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE THE ACADEMIC/VOCATIONAL, RELATIONAL, AND PARENTING SUPPORT PREGNANT AND PARENTING YOUNG WOMEN NEED TO IMPROVE THEIR LIVES AND THOSE OF THEIR CHILDREN. YOUNGMOMS IS HELPING CLIENTS STAY IN SCHOOL, PURSUE COLLEGE EDUCATION OR VOCATIONAL TRAINING, GAIN THE SKILLS NECESSARY TO PARENT EFFECTIVELY, AND BE EMPOWERED TO MAKE HEALTHY PERSONAL DECISIONS.
