GRANTING OF EDUCATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS, GRANTS, OR LOANS TO COLLEGE STUDENTS SELECTED AS MERITORIOUS AND CAPABLE OF FURTHERING THE PURPOSES OF THE CORPORATION; MAKING OF GRANTS AND GIFTS TO PUBLIC CHARITIES, EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS OF LEARNING, AND SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND INSITUTIONS ENGAGED IN THE DISCOVERY, TREATMENT, AND CURE OF DISEASE AND CARE OF THE AFFLICTED; AND MAKING OF GRANTS, GIFTS, AND LOANS TO PERSONS IN DISTRESS DUE TO ILLNESS, ACCIDENT, OR DISASTER WHO ARE SELECTED AS MERITORIOUS AND CAPABLE OF FURTHERING THE PURPOSES OF THE CORPORATION.
