THE PROGRAMS AT ACCESS ADDRESS THE ISSUE OF HOMELESSNESS HOLISTICALLY. OUR UNIQUE APPROACH WHICH FOCUSES ON STABILIZING THE CLIENT IN ORDER TO OVERCOME THEEIR PARTICULAR OBSTACLES TO HOUSING AND EMPLOYMENT. OUR SIGNIFICANT ACTIVITIES INCLUDE: 1.)STABILIZE WOMEN AND CHILDREN EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS BY PROVIDING THEIR BASIC NEEDS AT NO COST. 2.)ASSESS AND STABILIZE THEIR MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH. 3.)IDENTIFY THE OBSTACLES THAT CAUSED THEIR HOMELESS SITUATION. 4.)PROVIDE THE GUIDANCE, SUPPORT, AND EDUCATION TO OVERCOME THOSE OBSTACLES. 5.)EMPOWER AND ASSIST THEM IN ATTAINING EMPLOYMENT AND INDEPENDENT HOUSING.

MISSION:

SINCE 1972, VICTIM ASSISTANCE EMPOWERS OUR COMMUNITY TO RESTORE LIVES IMPACTED BY CRISIS, VIOLENCE, AND TRAGEDY. OUR PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE CRISIS INTERVENTION, ADVOCACY AND EDUCATION TO VICTIMS OF CRIME AND TRAUMA AND TO THE PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITY WHO SERVES THIS POPULATION. OUR VISION IS A WORLD WHERE ALL VICTIMS ARE HEALED.

MISSION:

EMMANUEL CHRISTIAN ACADEMY (EMMANUEL) IS A PRIVATE, NON-DENOMINATIONAL, CHRISTIAN, SCHOOL LOCATED IN AKRON, OHIO, SERVING CHILDREN FROM KINDERGARTEN THROUGH EIGHTH GRADE. EMMANUEL ALSO HAS AN EARLY EDUCATION CENTER SERVING CHILDREN INFANTS TO PRE-KINDERGARTEN.

MISSION:

TO PROMOTE, ASSIST, ADVANCE, ENCOURAGE, AND DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO SUPPORT AND PROVIDE TREATMENT AND DRUG EDUCATION PROGRAMS AIMED AT REHABILITATING THOSE THAT ARE IN DANGER OF BECOMING DRUG DEPENDENT AND TO INSURE EARKY PREVENTION AND/OR INTERVENTION VIA EDUCATIONAL PROCESS.

The goal of this organization is to develop, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide rental housing that is available to people who qualify on the basis of income, age or disability for publicly subsidized housing e.g., HUD housing or housing assistance under Section 8 of the Housing and Urban Development Act.

OUR MISSION IS TO SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASE THE PROPORTION OF STUDENTS WHO GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL READY FOR SUCCESS.

PROVIDES ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT/FIXED ASSET FINANCING, PRIMARILY IN NORTHEAST OHIO, THROUGH ITS SBA 504 AND OHIO 166 LOAN PROGRAMS.

MISSION:

EMBRACING FUTURES, INC. PROVIDES ORTHODONTIC BRACES TO CHILDREN WITH SEVERE ORTHODONTIC PROBLEMS, WHO ARE GROWING UP IN AN IMPOVERISHED HOUSEHOLD AND HAVE BEEN TURNED DOWN BY MEDICAID OR OTHER GOVERNMENT FUNDED PROGRAMS.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

THE AKRON BLIND CENTER IS A NATIONALLY UNIQUE MEMBERSHIP-BASED, NON-PROFIT (34-0742708), NON-GOVERNMENT FUNDED ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES SERVICES, PROGRAMS, RESOURCES AND CLASSES FOR BLIND AND LOW VISION INDIVIDUALS IN SUMMIT, MEDINA AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES. OUR CENTER GIVES PURPOSE, ACHIEVEMENT, WORTH AND HOPE TO PEOPLE. WE HAVE BEEN CAREFULLY SCREENED BY CHARITABLE REGISTRIES TO ENSURE WE ARE GOOD STEWARDS OF FUNDS. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE HAVE SEPARATE ACCOUNTS FOR OPERATIONS/ OVERHEAD AND PROGRAMMING, TO WHICH ANY DONATION WOULD SAFELY AND EXCLUSIVELY EARMARKED.
