The goal of this organization is to provide fixed-route mass transit services that utilize buses, trains, ferry boats or other vehicles to transport people within the limits of a city, a metropolitan area, a county or a multi-county region, or to move people from outlying areas into a city or metropolitan area.

The goal of this organization is to focus on influencing public policy within the Community Improvement, Capacity Building major group area. Includes a variety of activities from public education and influencing public opinion to lobbying national and state legislatures.
