HUNTINGTON FAMILY CENTERS, INC., DEEPLY ROOTED IN THE "SETTLEMENT HOUSE" TRADITION IS DEDICATED TO THE DIGNITY AND SELF-WORTH OF ALL INDIVIDUALS AND COMMITTED TO ENHANCING THE LIVES OF FAMILIES AND CHILDREN FOR THE FUTURE OF OUR COMMUNITY. IS TO ENROLL LOW INCOME, FIRST GENERATION YOUTH IN COLLEGE THROUGH FOSTERING THEIR OPPORTUNITY TO ATTEND COLLEGE; FACILITATING THEIR APPLICATION PROCESS,SUSTAINING THEIR CONTINUED MATRICULATION IN COLLEGE AND HELPING THEM TO TRANSITION TO THE WORK FORCE AFTER COLLEGE GRADUATION.

TO PROVIDE VOLUNTEER CENTERED FAITH BASED OUTREACH MINISTRY ROOTED IN THE TEACHINGS OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH SERVING THE POOR, ISOLATED AND HOMELESS LIVING ON THE PERIPHERIES OF SOCIETY WITHIN THE WESTERN REGION OF THE DIOCESE OF SYRACUSE, NY WITH A FOCUS OF PROVIDING A MEAL SERVICE AND GROCERIES ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF SYRACUSE.

The goal of this organization is to build, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide rental housing for low-income individuals and families, older adults and people with disabilities; or which make purchasable housing available to low or moderate income families by offering lower priced housing and/or affordable payment plans, by arranging for interest or mortgage subsidies or by involving eventual owners in the construction process (sweat equity).
