The goal of this organization is to provide diagnostic and inpatient treatment services for individuals who have acute or chronic mental or emotional disturbances, who require hospitalization.

SOH IS A YEAR-ROUND, SUPPLEMENTAL ACADEMIC PROGRAM WHOSE MISSION IS TO ENRICH THE EDUCATION OF PROMISING, LOW-INCOME PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS FROM THE BRONX, WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, AND HARLEM, PREPARE THEM FOR SELECTIVE SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES, AND OFFER GUIDANCE TO THEIR PARENTS. SOH IS UNIQUE AMONG NYC ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS IN ENROLLING PROMISING 3RD GRADE STUDENTS AND WORKING WITH THEM THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL GRAUDATION. ALTHOUGH HOUSED ON THE CAMPUS OF THE HORACE MANN SCHOOL WITH ACCESS TO ITS FACILITIES, SOH IS AN INDEPDENDENT 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION THAT RAISES ITS OWN FUNDS TO OPERATE A HIGH-QUALITY PROGRAM. EACH YEAR, MORE THAN 200 FAMILIES OF 2ND GRADERS APPLY FOR ONE OF 40 SEATS. THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS DEMOSTRATES A GREAT UNMET NEED FOR ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS IN OUR TARGET AREAS.

The goal of this organization is to operate organizations that provide educational programs within the formal educational system or offered as an adjunct to the traditional school curriculum which help students succeed in school and prepare for life. Includes organizations that partner parents, families, schools, business and/or community leaders to broker resources for the benefit of local schools.

THE ORGANIZATION WAS FORMED TO OPERATE TO DEVELOP AND DISSEMINATE A NARRATIVE OF JEWRY AND JUDAISM THAT CAN SUSTAIN JEWISH IDENTITY OF JEWS FULLY INTEGRATED IN POST-MODERN CULTURE. THIS WILL INCLUDE DEVELOPING NEW PLATFORMS FOR DISSEMINATION ,SUCH AS VIDEOS, FILM,PODCASTS AND SOCIAL MEDIA THE INSTITUTE'S PROGRAM WILL HELP TRANSLATE THE NARRATIVE INTO UPGRADED COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE AND POLICIES THAT OPERATE PLURALISTICALLY. THE INSTITUTE WILL FOCUS ON DISSEMINATING THE NARRATIVE DEVELOPED BY RABBI YITZ GREENBERG. THE GOAL IS AIDING THE CREATION OF A CULTURE/COMMUNITY/NARRATIVE THAT CAN INSPIRE A COMMITMENT TO LIVING JEWISH VALUES AND MISSION IN THE FULL AND RESPECTED PRESENCE OF ALL THE OTHER CHOICES OF LIFESTYLES, IDENTITIES AND CULTURES/RELIGION. THIS OUTCOME SOUGHT IS ENGAGEMENT IN JEWISH COMMUNITY AND/OR ACTIVITY IN THE GENERAL SOCIETY AS A CONSCIOUS, COMMITTED JEW. THE ORGANIZATION WILL RECRUIT AND TRAIN COHORTS OF EDUCATORS/TEACHERS/INTELLECTUALS TO BRING THE NARRATIVE TO LEAD
