THE PURPOSE OF RATES IS TO PROMOTE AND COORDINATE THE COLLABORATIVE AND COOPERATIVE USE OF TECHNOLOGY BY AND AMONG COLLEGES, HIGH SCHOOLS, PUBLIC SCHOOLS, COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICTS, PUBLIC AND SCHOOL LIBRARIES, HEALTH CARE FACILITIES, GOVERNMENT OFFICES, BUSINESSES, HEALTH AND EDUCATIONAL PROFESSIONALS, OTHER EDUCATIONAL AND COMMUNITY SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS AND COMMUNITY RESIDENTS BY PROVIDING ADVANCED TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITIES AND RELATED SERVICES, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND TRAINING FACILITIES EITHER DIRECTLY OR THROUGH THIRD PARTIES.

MISSION:

SUNY POTSDAM CHILD CARE CENTER INC.'S MISSION IS TO SERVE THE CHILD ARE NEEDS OF SUNY STUDENTS, FACULTY AND STAFF.; NEW YORK STATE EMPLOYEES; AND THE GREATER COMMUNITY; AS WELL AS PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE FOR SUNY STUDENTS.

The goal of this organization is to work to promote the rights of employees to fair remuneration and safe working conditions.

THE HEALTH INITIATIVE WAS CREATED OUT OF A COLLABORATION BY CANTON-POTSDAM HOSPITAL AND CLAXTON-HEPBURN MEDICAL CENTER. LEADERS FROM THESE INSTITUTIONS BROUGHT TOGETHER OVER 200 INDIVIDUALS - REPRESENTING A BROAD SPECTRUM OF THE COMMUNITY, INCLUDING HEALTH, HUMAN SERVICE, BUSINESS, GOVERNMENT AND EDUCATINO - TO CONDUCT A THOROUGH ASSESSMENT OF HEALTH IN ST. LAWRENCE COUNTY. THE STEERING COMMITTEE IDENTIFIED THREE HEALTH PRIORITY AREAS THAT NEEDED TO BE ADDRESSED COUNTY-WIDE: ACCESS TO CARE; NUTRITION AND PHYSICIAL ACTIVITY, AND; SUBSTANCE USE, FOCUSING ON YOUTH TOBACCO USE. THE AGENCY WAS INCORPORATED IN 1999 AS A FREE-STANDING 501 (C)(3) NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION TO SECURE RESOURCES AND PROGRAMMING TO ADDRESS THE IDENTIFIED PRIORITIES

Many service clubs are chapters of national or international organizations.

CANTON-POTSDAM MEDICAL PRACTICE'S PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE PHYSICIAN SERVICES, IN AN OUTPATIENT CLINIC SETTING, THAT PROVIDES PUBLIC BENEFIT TO THE COMMUNITY AND CANTON-POTSDAM HOSPITAL.

The goal of this organization is to provide technical assistance for nonprofit organizations who need management support in areas like board development; facility administration; fiscal administration; grant writing; personnel administration; program planning, development or evaluation; service delivery; volunteer utilization; or public relations.

The goal of this organization are the organizations like chambers of commerce, business leagues and commercial trade associations whose members are businessmen and women and merchants who have affiliated for the purpose of promoting the general commercial interests of the community or the interests of their own trade. [Many of these are found in section 501(c)(6) business leagues; and 501(c)(6) chambers of commerce.]

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people to learn and become competitive in ice hockey, ice skating, alpine and cross-country skiing, sledding/tobogganing and other winter sports. Coaching; access to skating rinks, ski slopes or other facilities; sports equipment; and officials for competitions are generally included.

THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO: PROVIDE SERVICE TO CANTON-POTSDAM HOSPITAL AND ITS PATIENTS ASSIST IN PROMOTING THE HEALTH AND WELFARE OF THE COMMUNITY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GOALS OF THE HOSPITAL OPERATE A GIFT SHOP AND OTHER BUSINESS ACTIVITIES SPONSOR FUNDRAISING EVENTS
