THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO PROVIDE PUBLIC LIBRARY PROGRAMS AND SERVICES TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE PALMYRA COMMUNITY PUBLIC LIBRARY DISTRICT, IN THE TOWN OF PALMYRA, EXCLUDING THE PORTION OF THE TOWN THAT LIES WITHIN THE NEWARK CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT.

TO PROMOTE INTEREST IN AND TO STUDY IDEAS RELATING TO HUMAN DEVELOPMENT WITHIN THEIR COMMUNITY.

THE ORGANIZATION UNITES IT'S MEMBERS IN THE BONDS OF FRATERNITY, BENEVOLENCE & CHARITY. THIS IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH A YEAR ROUND SCHEDULE OF SOCIAL & RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES FOR MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILIES

PROVIDE EDUCATION FOR FULL TIME STUDENTS IN GRADES PRE-K THROUGH 12TH WITH FACULTY, CURRICULUM, AND A PLACE WHERE THESE ACTIVITIES ARE CONDUCTED.

TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR RESIDENTS OF THE TOWN AND VILLAGE OF PALMYRA.

TO PROMOTE EDUCATION, AND HISTORICAL RESEARCH REGARDING THE EARLY HISTORY OF PALMYRA, NY, AND TO GATHER AND PRESERVE HISTORICAL ARTIFACTS, ANTIQUES AND PROPERTY FOR PUBLIC DISPLAY AND FUTURE GENERATIONS.

MANAGE THE PROPERTY AND CONCERNS OF SAID SOCIETY AS WELL AS TO PROMOTE THE EDUCATION AND INTEREST OF AGRICULTURE, HORTICULTURE AND THE MECHANIC ARTS AND TO HOLD A WEEK-LONG FAIR ANNUALLY IN AUGUST.
