IS LICENSED BY THE NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND PROVIDES OVER 1,300 NEW YORKERS, WHO ARE ELIGIBLE FOR MEDICAID, EISEP OR MEDICARE/MEDICAID, WITH HOME HEALTH AIDES, PERSONAL CARE AIDES, HOUSEKEEPING AND NURSING SUPERVISION SERVICES. NEW YORK FOUNDATION FOR SENIOR CITIZENS HOME ATTENDANT SERVICES ALSO ADMINISTERS A CONSUMER DIRECTED PERSONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM BY ISSUING PAYCHECKS FOR PERSONAL ASSISTANTS WHO ARE DIRECTLY EMPLOYED BY INDIVIDUALS TO PROVIDE CARE IN THEIR HOMES. WHILE THE HOME ATTENDANT PROGRAM DOES NOT EMPLOY PERSONAL ASSISTANTS, IT PLAYS AN IMPORTANT ROLE BY SERVING AS A CONDUIT FOR MEDICAID

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES A YEAR-ROUND PROGRAM OF EXTRA-CURRICULAR AND PRE-PROFESSIONAL DANCE TRAINING AT ITS STUDIOS AS WELL AS EXTENDED DANCE EDUCATION RESIDENCIES IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITY CENTERS THROUGHOUT THE NEW YORK CITY AREA. THE PROFESSIONAL DANCE COMPANY PERFORMS NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY WITH A REPERTORY OF WORKS CHOREOGRAPHED BY ESTABLISHED AND EMERGING ARTISTS OF LATINO DESCENT.
