THE PURPOSE OF THE CORPORATION IS TO ESTABLISH MAINTAIN AND OPERATE AN ADULT HOME AS DEFINED IN SECTION 2 (25) OF THE SOCIAL SERVICES LAW AND AN ASSISTED LIVING PROGRAM AS DEFINED IN SECTION 461-1 OF THE SOCIAL SERVICES LAW; PROVIDED, HOWEVER THAT THE CORPORATION SHALL NOT ESTABLISH OR OPERATE SUCH ADULT HOME OR ASSISTED LIVING PROGRAM WITHOUT THE PRIOR WRITTEN APPROVALS OF THE NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH.

MISSION:

THE SOCIETY OF ST. JOHNLAND IS A NEW YORK NOT-FOR-PROFIT CORPORATION, WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO SUPPORT AND MAINTAIN FACILITIES, INCLUDING RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ST. JOHNLAND NURSING CENTER, INC. AND TO MAKE GRANTS TO THE STUDY OF GERIATRICS AND GERONTOLOGY.

TO CREATE A CARING AND SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT COMMITTED TO THE HIGHEST STANDARD OF QUALITY HEALTHCARE. THE ORGANIZATION SEEKS TO UPHOLD THE PRINCIPALS OF HUMAN DIGNITY AND WORTH, AND AFFIRM THE RIGHT OF EVERY INDIVIDUAL TO MAINTAIN OPTIMUM QUALITY OF LIFE.

TO ORGANIZE THE CITIZENS OF KINGS PARK, NY INTO AN EFFECTIVE COMPANY OF FIRE FIGHTERS; TO DRILL AND INSTRUCT THEM IN AND ABOUT THE FIGHTING OF FIRES AND FOR THE PROTECTION OF LIFE AND PROPERTY IN CONNECTION WITH SUCH FIRES; TO PROCURE, MAINTAIN, AND KEEP PROPER APPARATUS FOR FIREFIGHTING; AND TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PREVENTION AND EXTINGUISHMENTS OF FIRES.

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people to learn and become competitive in swimming, diving, snorkeling, surfing, water skiing, water polo, boating, white water rafting and other water sports. Coaching, access to a swimming pool or other facilities, sports equipment, and officials for competitions are generally included.

THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO ENHANCE THE HEALTH OF VETERANS OF ALL GENERATIONS THROUGH RESEARCH AND EDUCATION.

ORGANIZATION OPERATES A TEACHERS UNION FOR THE BENEFIT OF APPRXIMATELY 285 MEMBERS, THE UNION NEGOTIATES EMPLOYMENT CONTRACTS, FILES GREVIANCES, AND MONITORS WORKING CONDITIONS.

PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE - FUNDRAISING TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL AND VOLUNTEER SUPPORT TO THE ATHLETIC PROGRAMS IN ALL THE SCHOOLS IN THE KINGS PARK SCHOOL DISTRICT.

A RELIGIOUS SPIRITUAL COMMUNITY DEDICATED TO THE EDUCATION EXPOSURE AND PRACTICE OF A UNIFIED NON SECTARIAN MULTIFAITH WORSHIP WHOSE CORE BELIEF IS THAT THERE IS ONE DESIRE FOR MEANING AND PURPOSE UNDERLINING THE MANY WAYS THAT HUMANS INTERPRET SPIRITUALITY AND DIVINITY. ALL OF THE MANY FORMS OF WORSHIP ARE EQUALLY VALID AND ARE HELD TOGETHER BY ONE LIGHT.

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people to learn and become competitive in baseball or softball. Coaching, access to a baseball field, baseball equipment, uniforms, and managers and umpires for games are generally included.

The goal of this organization is to provide food, clothing, household goods, cash and other forms of short-term emergency assistance for indigent individuals and families who have insufficient resources to meet their basic needs.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people to learn and become competitive in ice hockey, ice skating, alpine and cross-country skiing, sledding/tobogganing and other winter sports. Coaching; access to skating rinks, ski slopes or other facilities; sports equipment; and officials for competitions are generally included.

The goal of this organization are the organizations like chambers of commerce, business leagues and commercial trade associations whose members are businessmen and women and merchants who have affiliated for the purpose of promoting the general commercial interests of the community or the interests of their own trade. [Many of these are found in section 501(c)(6) business leagues; and 501(c)(6) chambers of commerce.]
