WOMEN FOR AFGHAN WOMEN (WAW) IS A GRASSROOTS CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO PROTECTING AND PROMOTING THE RIGHTS OF DISENFRANCHISED AFGHAN WOMEN AND GIRLS IN AFGHANISTAN AND THE USA. LN PARTICULAR, WAW WORKS TO HELP AFGHAN WOMEN AND GIRLS (SEE SCHEDULE O FOR DETAILS).

IN 2022, SACSS SERVED MORE THAN 175,000 INDIVIDUALS. SACSS HOLISTIC, ONE STOP APPROACH ASSESSES AND ASSISTS CLIENTS INDIVIDUALLY AND PERSONALLY WITH THEIR UNMET NEEDS SUCH AS HUNGER RELIEF, HEALTHCARE ACCESS AND EDUCATION, CONNECTION TO BENEFITS, SENIOR SUPPORT,AND CASE MANAGEMENT. SACSS ALSO PROVIDES LEGAL IMMIGRATION CLINICS, JOB PREPAREDNESS COURSES WHICH INCLUDE STITCHING CLASSES, ENGLISH AND COMPUTER CLASSES. SACSS OFFERS CULTURALLY RELEVANT FOOD AND STAPLES THROUGH ITS SOUTH ASIAN FOOD PANTRY TO 1700 FAMILIES (6800 INDIVIDUALS) EACH WEEK. SACSS LOOKS AT PEOPLE HOLISTICALLY AND DURING CLIENT INTAKE ASSESSES THE COMPLETE INDIVIDUAL TO IDENTIFY UNDERLYING ISSUES THAT MAY ALSO BENEFIT FROM SACSS CARE. IN THIS WAY, SACSS AVOIDS ADDRESSING THE PRESENTING NEEDS OF CLIENTS
