YOUTH COURT IS A VOLUNTARY SENTENCING ALTERNATIVE TO THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM FOR YOUNG PEOPLE WHO HAVE COMMITTED A CRIME OR OFFENSE. YOUTH COURT SEEKS TO INTERVENE IN EARLY ANTI- SOCIAL, DELINQUENT AND CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR BY HOLDING YOUTH ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR ACTIONS AND FOCUSING THE OFFENDER ON CONSTRUCTIVE, SOCIALLY ACCEPTABLE BEHAVIORS. YOUTH COURT PROGRAM IS AVAILABLE TO FIRST TIME OFFENDERS ONLY.
