THE OVERARCHING OBJECTIVE IS CENTERED ON PRESERVING PARENTAL CHOICE AS TO WHERE PARENTS AND GUARDIANS WANT THEIR CHILDREN TO RECEIVE SUPPORTIVE SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICES. THE UYI'S APPROACH IS TO USE HOLISTIC MEASURES TO REACH THE WHOLE CHILD. THESE MEASURES INCLUDE, BUT IN NO WAY ARE LIMITED TO, EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES SUCH AS COMPETITIVE SPORTING EVENTS AND ACADEMIC CHALLENGES.
