AMAZING WOMEN PERFORM AT THE TOP LEVELS OF SKYDIVING IN ALL DISCIPLINES. HOWEVER, OUR NUMBERS ARE SMALL: ONLY 13% OF USPA MEMBERS ARE WOMEN, AND ONLY 10.9% OF NEW A-LICENSES IN 2015 WERE ISSUED TO WOMEN. WE BELIEVE THAT HAVING MORE WOMEN INSTRUCTORS, ROLE MODELS, AND MENTORS AT DROPZONES AROUND THE COUNTRY IS CRITICAL TO RAISING THE NUMBER OF WOMEN IN OUR SPORT. TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN, THE WOMEN'S SKYDIVING NETWORK PROVIDES WOMEN WITH OPPORTUNITIES FOR TRAINING, NETWORKING, AND FELLOWSHIP THROUGHOUT THEIR SKYDIVING CAREERS. THE WSN WAS STARTED BY CHRISTY FRIKKEN AND JANETTE LEFKOWITZ IN 2016. SINCE THEN, WE HAVE GROWN TO BECOME A NETWORK OF OVER 3,000 WOMEN. OUR MEMBERS COME FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD AND INCLUDE WOMEN OF ALL EXPERIENCE LEVELS, FROM STUDENTS TO WORLD CHAMPIONS. WE WANT ALL WOMEN WHO JUMP TO KNOW THAT THEY ARE WELCOME IN THE WSN. WE INVITE ALL JUMPERS TO WORK WITH US TO ACHIEVE OUR GOAL OF PROMOTING WOMEN IN SKYDIVING.
