THE MUSEUM'S YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS EXPOSE YOUNG PEOPLE TO YOGI'S VALUES, WHILE AT THE SAME TIME INTRODUCING BASEBALL TO CHILDREN WHO MIGHT OTHERWISE NEVER HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE THE GAME. IN RESPONSE TO THE GLOBAL PANDEMIC, THE MUSEUM'S EDUCATION DEPARTMENT PIVOTED ALL PROGRAMMING TO A VIRTUAL FORMAT, THEREBY EXTENDING THE ORGANIZATION'S REACH BEYOND THE TRISTATE AREA. BETWEEN REMOTE AND IN-PERSON FIELD TRIPS, THE MUSEUM SERVED OVER 10,000 STUDENTS IN THE LAST YEAR, INCLUDING SCHOOL GROUPS FROM ATLANTA, PITTSBURGH, CLEVELAND, AND YOGI'S HOMETOWN OF ST. LOUIS.
