THE DOWN SYNDROME ASSOCIATION OF CENTRAL NEW JERSEY DSACNJ WAS CREATED TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO PERSONS WITH DOWN SYNDROME AND THEIR FAMILIES AND CAREGIVERS. WE PROVIDE INFORMATIONAL PACKAGES TO FAMILIES WHO ARE EXPECTING A CHILD WITH DOWN SYNDROME OR WHO HAVE JUST HAD A CHILD WITH DOWN SYNDROME. WE ARE A POINT OF CONTACT FOR THOSE PERSONS WHO HAVE OR ABOUT TO HAVE A FAMILY MEMBER WITH DOWN SYNDROME AND FOR THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE. WE HAVE MEETING WITH SPEAKERS THAT PROVIDE INFORMATION ON VARIOUS TOPICS RELEVANT TO PERSONS WITH DOWN SYNDROME. WE HAVE INFORMAL GATHERINGS FOR FAMILIES TO EXCHANGE INFORMATION AND PROVIDE SUPPORT TO ONE ANOTHER AND WE HOST SOCIAL GATHERINGS WHERE OUR FAMILIES CAN MEET AND GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER. WE HAVE OPENED CLUB DREAMS A DOWN SYNDROME ACHIEVEMENT CENTER THAT PROVIDES ENRICHMENT TRAINING AND EDUCATION TO OUR MEMBERS
