TO PLAN AND PROMOTE THE ORDERLY DEVELOPMENT WISE USE AND CONSERVATION OF THE REGION'S NATURAL RESOURCES. THE RESOURCES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: SOIL WATER AIR HUMAN CULTURAL FOREST RECREATION AND WILDLIFE TO IMPROVE THE GENERAL LEVEL OF ECONOMIC ACTIVITY.

The goal of this organization is to develop, maintain and make available to the general public recreational areas which are equipped with athletic fields and courts, campgrounds, picnic areas and a variety of recreational trails such as bridle trails, hiking trails, off-the-road vehicle trails and snowmobile trails.

TO ENHANCE THE LIVES OF HANDICAPPED PERSONS THROUGH THE SUPPORT AND SPONSORSHIP OF PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY INTEGRATION AND LIVING ENVIRONMENTS. TO PROVIDE HOUSING, TRANSPORTATION AND OTHER SERVICES TO HANDICAPPED INDIVIDUALS IN BURKE, MCDOWELL AND CLEVELAND COUNTIES.

TO ASSIST PEOPLE IN IMMEDIATE NEED OF FOOD, CLOTHING, HOUSEHOLD GOODS, AND/OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN THE CALDWELL COUNTY AREA OF NORTH CAROLINA.
