MISSION:

THE MISSION OF THE MAHTOMEDI YOUTH HOCKEY ASSOCIATION IS TO DESIGN PROGRAMS AIMED AT CREATING A FUN, FAIR & SAFE HOCKEY ENVIRONMENT WHICH INCREASES PARTICIPATION AND IMPROVES SKILLS, WHILE DEVELOPING RESPECT FOR OTHERS, SELF CONFIDENCE & TEAMWORK IN OUR STUDENT ATHLETES.

MISSION:

FOUNDED IN 1981, MSA HAS THE PRIMARY FOCUS TO PROVIDE FUN, POSITIVE SOCCER PROGRAM FOR THE YOUTH WITHIN THE MAHTOMEDI SCHOOL DISTRICT. THE GUIDING PRINCIPLES OF THE ORGANIZATION ARE: TO MAKE SOCCER FUN AND INSTILL IN OUR YOUTH A LIFELONG PASSION FOR SPORTS. TO PROMOTE SOCCER AT ALL LEVELS OF PLAY, INCLUDING COMPETITIVE AND RECREATIONAL. TO PROVIDE TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES IN ALL AREAS OF THE SPORT INCLUDING SKILL DEVELOPMENT, COACHING AND REFEREEING. TO ENCOURAGE FAIR PLAY, SPORTSMANSHIP AND DEVELOP PLAYERS' SELF-ESTEEM. TO PROVIDE INFORMATION TO ALL PARTICIPANTS AND PARENTS FOR THE PURPOSE OF INCREASING GENERAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE SPORT.

PROMOTE SOCIAL FELLOWSHIP AND COMPANIONSHIP AMONGST MEMBERS. CARE OF VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES.

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people to learn and become competitive in baseball or softball. Coaching, access to a baseball field, baseball equipment, uniforms, and managers and umpires for games are generally included.

CORPORATION IS ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE, RELIGIOUS, EDUCATIONAL, AND SCIENTIFIC PURPOSES AS SPECIFIED IN SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE, OR THE CORRESPONDING SECTION OF A FUTURE FEDERAL TAX CODE. THIS CORPORATION SHALL NOT BE OPERATED FOR PROFIT, BUT RATHER SHALL BE OPERATED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES. THE SPECIFIC PURPOSE OF CORPORATION IS CHARITABLE: TO PROMOTE RELIGION, MUSIC, COLLEGE STUDIES, FINE ARTS AND SPORTS ACTIVITIES.

These programs may be offered by local clubs devoted to a particular activity or sport; may provide individual or team coaching assistance or instruction, access to equipment and facilities, and uniforms, if necessary; and may sponsor or make arrangements for athletes to participate in amateur competitions, usually at the local or regional level, and provide officials for games. These events are generally for the enjoyment of the athletes and are not at a high enough competitive level to be considered spectator sports.
