THE FOOD CUPBOARD IS AN ECUMENICAL FOOD PANTRY DEDICATED TO ALLEVIATING HUNGER BY PROVIDING SUPPLEMENTAL FOOD TO THE NEEDY OF SOUTH PORTLAND, CAPE ELIZABETH, SCARBOROUGH AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES.

CLUB IS TO PROVIDE ITS 260 MEMBERS AND THEIR GUESTS WITH ACCESS TO THE WATER FOR SAFE USE OF MOTOR AND SAILING CRAFT. IN ADDITION, THE FACILITIES ARE MAINTAINED FOR CLUB SPONSORED MEETINGS, SOCIAL EVENTS, AND EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES. FURTHERMORE, THE ORGANIZATION IS FAMILY ORIENTED AND RELIES ON ITS MEMBERS TO VOLUNTARILY MANAGE AND MAINTAIN ITS PROGRAMS AND PROPERTY WITH A MINIMUM OF CONTRACTED SERVICES AND PAYROLL. THE CLUB SERVES THE ORRS AND BAILEY ISLAND AREAS OF MAINE, BUT MEMBERSHIP IS NOT LIMITED TO THOSE AREAS. THE CLUB RUNS A 6-WEEK YOUTH SAILING PROGRAM.

VINALHAVEN ELDERCARE SERVICES' MISSION IS TO PROVIDE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR VINALHAVEN ELDERS TO AGE IN PLACE: IN THEIR HOMES, IN THE COMMUNITY, ON THE ISLAND, TO MAINTAIN ELDER'S CONNECTIONS TO ISLAND TRADITIONS, COMMUNITY AND FAMILY, TO PROMOTE DIGNITY, SAFETY, HEALTH, COMFORT AND A RESPECTABLE QUALITY OF LIFE AND TO BE A SUSTAINABLE ORGANIZATION.
