MISSION:

PEEAKS ISLAND LAND PRESERVE IS COMMITTED TO THE ACQUISITION, PRESERVATION AND STEWARDSHIP IN PERPETUITY OF PEAKS ISLAND LANDS FOR THE USE AND ENJOYMENT OF ISLANDERS AND VISITORS.

MISSION:

TO PRESERVE AND PROMOTE THE MEMORIAL HALL, THE ARTIFACTS, THE HISTORY OF PEAKS ISLAND, AND THE LEGACY OF THE FIFTH MAINE CIVIL WAR REGIMENT FOR THE EDUCATION AND ENRICHMENT OF THE COMMUNITY.

MISSION:

THE PEAKS ISLAND LION'S CLUB PROVIDES FUNDS FOR PEAKS ISLAND YOUTH COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS AND PROVIDES FUNDS FOR PROGRAMS FOR ISLAND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT.

MISSION:

THE ASSOCIATION SUPPORTS THE PEAKS ISLAND COMMUNITY BY OFFERING FACILITIES AND PROGRAMS FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES (I) IN SAILING, BOATING, WATER SAFETY, RACQUET SPORTS, YOUTH CAMPS, PERFORMING AND VISUAL ARTS, (II) IN EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS ON HISTORY, CURRENT AFFAIRS, LITERARY, ART, MUSIC, CULTURAL AND OTHER TOPICS OF INTEREST, AND (III) IN ACTIVITIES OFFERED BY OTHER QUALIFYING TAX-EXEMPT NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS.

TO PROVIDE CHILD CARE SERVICES FOR FAMILIES TO ENABLE PARENTS TO WORK, ATTEND SCHOOL OR JOB TRAINING.

The goal of this organization is to operate outpatient facilities, many previously known as free clinics, established by the community rather than a hospital which provide basic medical care including physical examinations, immunizations, family planning, nutrition assistance and diagnosis and treatment of common ailments. Services are available on an ability-to-pay basis and target low-income and indigent community residents.
