THE OCEAN CITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION IS DEDICATED TO THE REVITALIZATION OF THE DOWNTOWN AREA OF OCEAN CITY, MARYLAND. PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED BY THE ORGANIZATION TO FORMULATE AND IMPLEMENT LONG RANGE DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES FOR COMMERCIAL, OFFICE, RESIDENTIAL, AND OTHER DEVELOPMENT IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA.

TO UPHOLD AND DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA; TO MAINTAIN LAW AND ORDER; TO FOSTER AND PERPETUATE A 100% AMERICANISM; TO PRESERVE THE MEMORIES AND INCIDENTS OF OUR ASSOCIATIONS IN THE GREAT WARS; TO INCULCATE A SENSE OF INDIVIDUAL OBLIGATION TO THE COMMUNITY, STATE AND NATION; TO COMBAT THE AUTOCRACY OF BOTH THE CLASSES AND THE MASSES; TO MAKE RIGHT THE MASTER OF MIGHT; TO PROMOTE PEACE AND GOODWILL ON EARTH; TO SAFEGUARD AND TRANSMIT TO POSTERITY THE PRINCIPLES OF JUSTICE, FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY; TO CONSECRATE AND SANCTIFY OUR COMRADESHIP BY OUR DEVOTION TO MUTUAL HELPFULNESS; TO COOPERATE WITH THE AMERICAN LEGION, A NATIONAL CORPORATION FORMED UNDER AND BY VIRTUE OF AN ACT OF CONGRESS UNDER DATE OF SEPTEMBER 16, 1919, AND AMENDED THERETO; TO CREATE A SPIRIT OF FRATERNITY AMONG MEMBERS OF THE CORPORATION, WHO ARE QUALIFIED FOR MEMBERSHIP IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE AMERICAN LEGION AND ITS RULES, REGULATIONS AND BY-LAWS.

Many service clubs are chapters of national or international organizations.

DIAKONIA, INC. IS DEDICATED TO BUILDING A FOUNDATION FOR THOSE IN CRISIS OR THOSE WHO ARE HOMELESS WHILE MAINTAINING DIGNITY AND RESPECT; PROVIDING HOPE AND ENHANCING THEIR QUALITY OF LIFE.

PROVIDE ENGINEERING AND METALURGICAL INFORMATION TO IMPROVE INDUSTRIAL HEALT AND RELATIONS.

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people to learn and become competitive in swimming, diving, snorkeling, surfing, water skiing, water polo, boating, white water rafting and other water sports. Coaching, access to a swimming pool or other facilities, sports equipment, and officials for competitions are generally included.

CHARITABLY FORMED TO ENCOURAGE, FOSTER, AND PROMOTE THE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE OCEAN CITY BUSINESS COMMUNITY, THE EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF THE WORKFORCE, THE BEAUTIFICATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION OF THE OCEAN CITY AREA, AND THE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE OCEAN CITY WORKFORCE.

MISSION:

TO EMPOWER LIONS CLUBS, VOLUNTEERS, AND PARTNERS TO IMPROVE HEALTH AND WELL-BEING, STRENGTHEN COMMUNITIES, AND SUPPORT THOSE IN NEED THROUGH HUMANITARIAN SERVICES AND GRANTS THAT IMPACT LIVES GLOBALLY, AND ENCOURAGE PEACE AND INTERNATIONAL UNDERSTANDING.
