THE GENERAL AREAS OF SERVICE INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, PHYSICAL, SPEECH, AND OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY; EDUCATIONAL, DAY CARE, NURSING, RECREATIONAL, AND SOCIAL SERVICES; PARENT AND SIBLING GROUPS; SKILLS TRAINING, PERSONAL CARE ATTENDANT AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES. THE AGENCY THROUGH ITS PROGRAMS AND SERVICES ENCOURAGES THE INCLUSION OF PEOPLE WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES INTO THE MAINSTREAM OF SOCIETY INCLUDING SOCIAL, RECREATIONAL, FAMILY AND WORK ACTIVITIES.

THE FUND PROVIDES ANNUITY AND VACATION BENEFITS FOR APPROXIMATELY 1,251 MEMBERS OF ROOFERS LU 33. THE ANNUTIY BENEFITS ARE DERIVED FROM EMPLOYER CONTRIBUTIONS WHILE VACATION BENEFITS ARE COLLECTED FROM MEMBERS PAYROLL DEDUCTIONS AND ADMINISTERED BY THE FUND FOR THEM.

THIS AID MAY TAKE THE FORM OF INTERVENTION, CONSULTATION, OR OFTEN THROUGH DIRECT DOLLAR OR IN-KIND SERVICE. AN ESSENTIAL PRECEPT OF THE SOCIETY'S WORK IS TO PROVIDE HELP WHILE CONSCIENTIOUSLY MAINTAINING THE CONFIDENTIALITY AND DIGNITY OF THOSE WHO ARE SERVED. THE SOCIETY RECOGNIZES THAT IT MUST ASSUME, ALSO, A ROLE OF ADVOCACY FOR THOSE WHO ARE DEFENSELESS OR VOICELESS. SOME 12 MILLION PERSONS ARE HELPED ANNUALLY BY VINCENTIANS IN THE UNITED STATES.
