THE ORGANIZATION IS ACCREDITED BY THE HUMAN MILK BANKING ASSOCIATION OF NORTH AMERICA AND IS REGULATED BY THE FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION (FDA) AS WELL AS LOCAL AND STATE HEALTH DEPARTMENTS. THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION CENTERS AROUND THE BELIEF THAT EVERY BABY DESERVES THE CHANCE TO THRIVE. MOTHERS' MILK BANK NORTHEAST SUPPORTS FAMILY AND COMMUNITY HEALTH AND PROVIDES EQUITABLE ACCESS TO SAFE, LIFESAVING PASTEURIZED DONOR HUMAN MILK. MILK DONATIONS FROM MEDICALLY SCREENED AND APPROVED MILK DONORS ARE BOTTLED, PASTEURIZED, AND THEN INDEPENDENTLY TESTED BEFORE THE MILK IS DISTRIBUTED TO HOSPITALS AND FAMILIES. THE GENEROSITY OF OUR MILK DONORS ENABLES US TO PROVIDE 1.5 MILLION FEEDINGS TO INFANTS EACH YEAR.
