THE WONDERFUND INVESTS IN CHILDREN RECEIVING SERVICES FROM DCF BY PROVIDING ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES AND ACCESS TO EMERGENCY AID AND TRANSITIONAL NECESSITIES.THE WONDERFUND IS A PRIVATE, NONPROFIT 501(C)3 THAT SERVES CHILDREN ENGAGED WITH THE MASSACHUSETTS DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES BY BRINGING COMFORT AND DIGNITY IN TRAUMATIC SITUATIONS, AND ENRICHING CHILDHOODS THAT HAVE BEEN IMPACTED BY ABUSE AND NEGLECT.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to build, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide rental housing for low-income individuals and families, older adults and people with disabilities; or which make purchasable housing available to low or moderate income families by offering lower priced housing and/or affordable payment plans, by arranging for interest or mortgage subsidies or by involving eventual owners in the construction process (sweat equity).

WE MAINTAIN A HOUSE FOR THE UNDERGRADUATE CHAPTER OF DELTA TAU DELTA AT MIT. WE COLLECT DONATIONS FROM FELLOW ALUMNI AND RENT FROM UNDERGRADUATES. WE USE THE FUNDS TO PAY FOR INSURANCE, PROPERTY TAXES, INSPECTIONS AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS.
