THE FUND'S MISSION IS TO FURTHER PUBLIC INTEREST RESEARCH, EDUCATION, AND ADVOCACY ON ISSUES AFFECTING SOCIAL WELFARE BOTH DIRECTLY AND BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL, ORGANIZATIONAL, AND OTHER ASSISTANCE TO PUBLIC INTEREST ORGANIZATIONS.

THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES OTOLARYNGOLOGY SERVICES PRIMARILY TO PATIENTS AT (SEE SCHEDULE O) BOSTON CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL AND AT SATELLITE LOCATIONS. THE FOUNDATION ALSO PROVIDES CARE FOR PATIENTS REGARDLESS OF THEIR ABILITY TO PAY, AS WELL AS PROVIDING AND SUBSIDIZING HOSPITAL AND COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES THAT ARE EITHER UNAVAILABLE OR LIMITED ELSEWHERE IN THE COMMUNITY.

MISSION:

THE GREENLIGHT FUND TRANSFORMS THE LIVES OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN HIGH-POVERTY URBAN AREAS BY CREATING INFRASTRUCTURE AND A CONSISTENT ANNUAL PROCESS IN CITIES TO IDENTIFY CRITICAL NEEDS, IMPORT INNOVATIVE ENTREPRENEURIAL PROGRAMS THAT CAN HAVE A SIGNIFICANT AND MEASURABLE IMPACT, AND GALVANIZE LOCAL AND NATIONAL SUPPORT TO HELP PROGRAMS REACH AND SUSTAIN IMPACT IN THE NEW CITY.
