THE AMERICAN FARRIER'S ASSOCIATION WAS ESTABLISHED TO IMPROVE THE WELFARE OF THE HORSE THROUGH CONTINUING FARRIER EDUCATION, FURTHER THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OF FARRIERS AND TO PROVIDE LEADERSHIP AND RESOURCES FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE FARRIER INDUSTRY.

The goal of this organization is to raise and distribute funds for multiple organizations within the Education major group area.

TO PROVIDE A COMPREHENSIVE SAFETY NET FOR PEOPLE WORKING IN THE CENTRAL KENTUCKY THOROUGHBRED INDUSTRY AND THEIR IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS, INCLUDING HEALTH, WELFARE, EDUCATION, HOUSING, AND CLOTHING.

PROVIDE PERSONAL CARE AND HEALTH CARE ASSISTANCE TO NEEDY FAMILIES THROUGH MINISTRIES AND CLINICS STAFFED BY VOLUNTEER PROFESSIONALS AND CHURCH MEMBERS

TO PROMOTE AND FURTHER THE AVAILABILITY OF HOUSING FOR LOW INCOME AND UNDER PRIVILEGED PERSONS.

The goal of this organization is to build, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide rental housing for low-income individuals and families, older adults and people with disabilities; or which make purchasable housing available to low or moderate income families by offering lower priced housing and/or affordable payment plans, by arranging for interest or mortgage subsidies or by involving eventual owners in the construction process (sweat equity).

THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO PROVIDE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO STATE AND LOCAL AIR POLLUTION CONTROL AGENCIES, PROVIDE A FORUM FOR AGENCIES TO BECOME BETTER INFORMED ON AIR POLLUTION CONTROL ISSUES AND EXCHANGE THE BEST PRACTICES CONCEPTS IN ORDER TO OPERATE MORE EFFICIENT AIR POLLUTION CONTROL AGENCIES.

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people to learn and become competitive in swimming, diving, snorkeling, surfing, water skiing, water polo, boating, white water rafting and other water sports. Coaching, access to a swimming pool or other facilities, sports equipment, and officials for competitions are generally included.

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people to learn and become competitive in baseball or softball. Coaching, access to a baseball field, baseball equipment, uniforms, and managers and umpires for games are generally included.

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.
