TO EDUCATE NEWSPAPER EMPLOYEES, PROMOTE LITERACY AND DIVERSITY, ENDORSE JOURNALISTIC ETHICS, CHAMPION FIRST AMENDMENT VALUES AND ENCOURAGE NEW IDEAS TO MEET THE CHANGING NEEDS OF THE INDUSTRY.

TO PREPARE ALL OF OUR STUDENTS WITH THE FUNDAMENTAL ACADEMIC SKILLS, CRITICAL THINKING ABILITY, AND STRENGTH OF CHARACTER TO EXCEL IN HIGH SCHOOL, COLLEGE, AND A CAREER OF THEIR CHOICE. WE EMPOWERALL OF OUR STUDENTS WITH THE EDUCATION TODAY THAT THEY WILL NEED TO CHANGE THE WORLD TOMORROW.

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

The goal of this organization is to provide a wide variety of social services that are designed to support healthy family development, improve the familys ability to resolve problems and prevent the need for unnecessary placement of children in settings outside the home.

THE MISSION OF CUBS CHARITIES IS TO MOBILIZE THE POWER OF SPORT TO CHAMPION YOUTH, FAMILIES, AND COMMUNITIES. CUBS CHARITIES ACHIEVES THIS THROUGH SPORTS-BASED YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AND ACADEMIC PROGRAMMING, INVESTMENTS IN SAFE PLACES TO PLAY, AND STRATEGIC GRANTMAKING. THE VISION OF CUBS CHARITIES IS TO BE RECOGNIZED LOCALLY AND GLOBALLY FOR ITS COLLECTIVE WORK TO ENCOURAGE THE LOVE OF SPORT AND CONTRIBUTE TO A MORE UNIFIED AND THRIVING CHICAGO, WHERE ALL YOUTH, FAMILIES, AND COMMUNITIES HAVE AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY TO ACHIEVE THEIR HIGHEST POTENTIAL BOTH ON AND OFF THE FIELD.

IIDA CHAPTERS WERE ESTABLISHED TO SERVE LOCAL PROFESSIONALS IN THE AREAS OF NETWORKING AND EDUCATION. THE 31 CHAPTERS CONSIST OF MORE THAN 15,000 MEMBERS AND 10 SPECIALTY FORUMS.
