THE ORIGINAL TRUST AGREEMENT REQUIRED THE TRUSTEES TO DISTRIBUTE THE TRUST ESTATE SOLELY TO THE CITY OF FORT MADISON FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT OR IMPROVEMENTS AS THEY CITY OF FORT MADISON MAY LEGALLY AND FINANCIALLY UNDERTAKE. FUNDS WERE CONTRIBUTED AND LAND WAS PURCHASED AND A GOLF COURSE WAS BUILT. THE GOLF COURSE IS TO BE USED BY ANY AND ALL OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

TO SERVE LEE COUNTY'S IMPOVERISHED RESIDENTS BY OFFERING HEALTHY FOOD, EDUCATION, AND OTHER RESOURCES THAT PROMOTE GOOD NUTRITION, SELF- SUFFICIENCY AND INSTALL HOPE FOR BETTER LIVES. NEARLY 5,000 RESIDENTS OF LEE COUNTY, OR ABOUT 1 OUT OF 7 PEOPLE, STRUGGLE WITH A LACK OF RELIABLE ACCESS TO A SUFFICIENT QUANITY OF AFFORDABLE, NUTRITIOUS FOOD. NO ONE SHOULD GO HUNGRY. WITH YOUR HELP, WE CAN ENSURE THAT EVERYONE IN OUR COMMUNITY HAS THE FOOD THEY NEED TO THRIVE.

WE WANT TO CREATE A SAFE HAVEN, FEED THEM, CLOTH THEM, ATTEND TO THEIR MEDICAL NEEDS, GIVE THEM AN EDUCATION AND TEACH THEM VOCATIONAL TRADES. MORE IMPORTANTLY, WE WANT TO GIVE THSE CHILDREN THE NURTURE AND THE LOVE THAT EVERY CHILD IN THIS WORLD SHOULD HAVE.
