PROTECTING PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS ON PUBLIC GROUND LOCATED ALONG THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER WATERFRONT IN FORT MADISON, IOWA; OPERATING, RESTORING, IMPROVING, MAINTAINING, AND OPERATING IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC ALONG THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER IN FORT MADISON, IOWA; AND LESSENING THE CITY OF FORT MADISON'S BURDEN OF CONSTRUCTING, MAINTAINING, AND OPERATING SUCH IMPROVEMENTS.

CREDIT UIONS CREATE A SOURCE OF CREDIT AT A FAIR AND RESONABLE RATE OF INTEREST, ENCOURAGE HABITS OF THRIFT AMONG ITS MEMBERS, AND PROVIDE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR ITS MEMBERS TO USE AND CONTROL THEIR OWN MONEY.

NEARLY 5,000 RESIDENTS OF LEE COUNTY, OR ABOUT 1 OUT OF 7 PEOPLE, STRUGGLE WITH A LACK OF RELIABLE ACCESS TO A SUFFICIENT QUANITY OF AFFORDABLE, NUTRITIOUS FOOD. NO ONE SHOULD GO HUNGRY. WITH YOUR HELP, WE CAN ENSURE THAT EVERYONE IN OUR COMMUNITY HAS THE FOOD THEY NEED TO THRIVE.

THE ORIGINAL TRUST AGREEMENT REQUIRED THE TRUSTEES TO DISTRIBUTE THE TRUST ESTATE SOLELY TO THE CITY OF FORT MADISON FOR PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT OR IMPROVEMENTS AS THEY CITY OF FORT MADISON MAY LEGALLY AND FINANCIALLY UNDERTAKE. FUNDS WERE CONTRIBUTED AND LAND WAS PURCHASED AND A GOLF COURSE WAS BUILT. THE GOLF COURSE IS TO BE USED BY ANY AND ALL OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC.

THE TEST KITCHEN FOUNDATION WILL EMPOWER DEDICATED EDUCATORS TO SERVE AREA STUDENTS IN A SAFE, NUTURING, ENVIRONMENT WHILE YOUNG PEOPLE LEARN TO APPRECIATE HEALTHY, DELICIOUS, FOOD PREPARED BY AREA CHEFS.

WE WANT TO CREATE A SAFE HAVEN, FEED THEM, CLOTH THEM, ATTEND TO THEIR MEDICAL NEEDS, GIVE THEM AN EDUCATION AND TEACH THEM VOCATIONAL TRADES. MORE IMPORTANTLY, WE WANT TO GIVE THSE CHILDREN THE NURTURE AND THE LOVE THAT EVERY CHILD IN THIS WORLD SHOULD HAVE.
